The
staff at Judy's Nursery School in Bedford are second to none. All are
mature, good natured, easy going, patient and love working with children.
All three are parents themselves and understand the day to day challenges
being a parent brings. All three live in Bedford and are active in the
community.
Judy Hines, the owner and director, has been in childcare since 1981.
She is the founder of Judy's Nursery School and has owned and operated
the school since 1990. Judy has a Bachelor of Arts Degree, and a Community
Services Diploma in addition to her Early Childhood Education training.
Proir to opening Judy's Nursery School she worked for nine years with
preschoolers with special needs. This experience has been invaluable in
helping assess any areas where a child may need assistance to fully reach
their potential. Extensive experience, education and a desire to have
each child treated "as she would want her own treated" has led
to the establishment of an excellent preschool referred time and time
again by word of mouth.
Pam Chapdelaine has also been in the child care field since 1981 and at
Judy's since 1998. Pam has recieved Early Childhood Education Training
from Teachers College in Truro and from St. Josephs College of Early Childhood
Education in Halifax. Judy has known Pam most of her life having grown
up in the same city and attended the same schools. Pam is also Judy's
husband Sandy's first cousin and close personal friends outside of work.
Growing up in a very large family, Pam gained invaluable experience in
how to deal with children of all ages. When an opening came up in the
school in 1998 Judy offered Pam the job and was thrilled when she accepted.
Pam has been with the school ever since and has been an amazing asset
to the school. She is exceptional with both the children and the parents
and is loved by both.. Her enthuasism for young children and her nuturing
nature contribute to making her such a wonderful preschool teacher.
Kim Wolstenholme has a Bachelors of Arts Degree as well as Early Childhood
Education training from St. Josephs College and Mount Saint Vincent University.
Kims background also includes working with individuals with Special Needs. In
2005 Judy decided to take more of an administrative role and began her
search for a full time preschool teacher. She immediately thought of Kim
Wolstenholme whom she had known for years as a neighbour and former prechool
mom. Kim was handpicked by Judy and offered the job because of her pleasant
personalty and her ability to relate to children. Children are drawn to
Kim and enjoy spending time and learning from her. Kim has been a wonderful
additon to Judy's Nuirsery School.
All staff also maintain current First Aid Training Certification and particpate
in ongoing training.
Ask any parent who has attended Judy's and you will hear rave reviews
about the staff and for good reason. You and your children are in good
hands when you attend Judy's Nursery School.
